Hi, I’m Steve, From starting as an apprentice, I’ve had a phenomenal career journey, benefitting from many opportunities to grow and learn from others. It’s been hugely rewarding and incredibly fulfilling. Now, as a Managing Director, I want to ensure everyone I work with enjoys the opportunities I’ve had. I’m big on innovation, emotional intelligence, and doing things the right way, not just the easy way. Here are my three personal priorities in my current role:People – I’m incredibly proud of our brilliant colleagues that I get to work with each day. We’re a team that works with passion and to the highest standards. For me, creating an environment where our people are safe, supported and can develop their careers is incredibly important.As someone who started their career as an apprentice, I’m passionate about helping the future of the industry too. I want to enable the right environment to maximise our impact so we can support the next generation to enjoy rewarding careers in manufacturing. Process – Striving to be at the leading edge of manufacturing means that we’re constantly leveraging the latest data and technology to advance what we do. Continuous improvement is at the very heart of this. I’m proud to say that our impact in this space has been reflected in our team recently picking up Best Continuous Improvement Culture at the British Quality Foundation’s UK Excellence Awards. A fantastic endorsement of the work of our colleagues. Profile – We often tell each other we’re the best-kept secret. We have a brilliant business but often don’t shout about it as much as we should. For me, I’m an ambassador for what we do and want to take the opportunity to share the fantastic work of our talented team. We’re doing some amazing work with our sustainability and renewable energy initiatives and have an opportunity to enact exciting changes.
