Job PurposeTo provide professional advice and an efficient, effective, timely support service to a broad range of staff across the University on all casework including Sickness Absence, Grievances, Capability and Disciplinary Issues and all other HR policies and procedures.. Main Duties Provide computerised system support, assisting with the maintenance of schools/services establishments through the setting up and monitoring of all posts and jobs on the personnel/payroll database. Evaluate new and current jobs to determine accurate grading, advising staff and managers on job descriptions and grading issues. Assisting with a review and extension of the current HAY job evaluation scheme. Participate in the University's Recruitment and Selection process, advising on documentation required, servicing and chairing selection events, negotiate, prepare and issue offers of appointment and associated contract documentation. Responsible for the administration of all pension documentation acting as authorised signatory where appropriate and for ensuring that the appropriate documentation is completed and sent to the relevant scheme. Co-ordinate and administer all maternity related issues, providing specialist support and advice to individuals, ensuring compliance with legislation and occupational procedures. Arrange sickness management case conferences and provide professional advice in respect of all occupational health matters, including individual referrals, redeployment, ill health and disability issues. Deliver University's personnel related training activities.Provide administrative support and advice on grievance and disciplinary issues and service panels as required
