Provide overall leadership and support to the Board of Directors, staff, contractors and Members within the Agfood Processing Sector.

As Executive Director, I oversee the implementation of our strategic plan including operations, human resources, financial management, policy interpretation, business development and community engagement. I generated more than $ 10 miillion in grants and contributions since starting this position. I have added more than $ 4 million in equity and placed Mission Community Skills Centre in a strong financial position moving forward. All while attracting the best people in the field to come to work with us.

As General Manager, I managed the most successful Community Futures in Alberta including new business development opportunities, engaging new strategic partners and managing new funding agreements. I provided overall direction of a small business lending fund in excess of $ 7 million.

As General Manager, I oversaw the largest Raspberry Coop in Canada. I also sold and distributed all Coop products while building a state-of-the-art IQF processing plant, including refrigeration. International Sales, Marketing, Production, Human Resources, Finance, Grower Relations and Financial Management were key requirements in this role! I sold more than $ 12 million of raspberries and blueberries annually.

As Manager, I oversaw the day to day operations of a local case management service including job placement, disability employment services, training support and self employment program interventions.
