Project Manager May 2003-2005: Implemented organizational changes throughout the company and was responsible for streamlining current processes within the various organizations. Implemented the internal audit group (SOX) and produced the first year’s auditing requirements and established the groundwork for the following years. Sr. Portfolio Accountant June 2005-April 2011: Responsible for 25 commercial real estate buildings overseeing and reviewing 4 property accountant’s monthly close packages. Applying accrual based accounting procedures, executing month end close processes, creating straight-line rent schedules for new leases, preparing CAM/OPEX reconciliations on a quarterly basis, preparing budgets for portfolio properties annually, re-forecasting financials as needed per property, assisting property management, capital projects, and ad-hoc reporting. Maintained the FAS system for fixed assets for the entire 70 plus building portfolio. Accounted for 3 regional offices monthly accounting. Trained new staff and assisted in the development of accountants responsible for properties within my regions.
