(continuation of project bellow) College of Communication & Journalism in Doha, Qatar—a state-of-the-art facility with projection and black-box theaters, studios for television, a radio station, a universal newsroom, classrooms, and editing facilities. Completed: January 2017.Represented NU-Q’s interest in the design of a $16 million, 4,000 sq. ft. exhibition facility to reside within the final College of Communication & Journalism building. The facility features cutting-edge curved screen technology and interactive content and is driven by a bespoke software platform, creating an open system allowing for future scalability.Consulted with the Qatar Foundation’s Capital Projects and Facilities Directorates, executive architects, project management firms, and contractors to ensure the structure adhered to the NU-Q program requirements. Expected completion was in 2013; however, it was completed in 2017 due to the project’s scope expending. Point person for NU-Q's interest in designing and constructing a $25 million, 26,250 sq. ft. temporary studio facility containing studios, audio/video edit rooms, and classrooms. Expected completion January 2011. Consulted with Qatar Foundation's V.P. Capital Projects & Facilities, executive architects, project management firm and contractors to ensure that NU-Q's program of requirements are included in the final structure. Recommend action plans for the Dean and CEO of Northwestern University in Qatar for review on matters concerning the Qatar Foundation, who oversee operations at Education City. Capital Projects & Facilities, executive architects, project management firm and contractors to ensure that TAMU-Q's program of requirements was included in the final structure.Recommended action plans for the Dean and CEO of TAMU-Q for review on matters concerning the Qatar Foundation, who oversaw operations at Education City.Designed and managed building modifications of temporary classrooms, offices, and research facilities.Administered and procured off-campus housing for faculty and staff in Doha, Qatar ($5.8 million annually).Developed and maintained imports and exports associated with TAMU-Q.
