Stephen is the chief information officer for H&E Equipment Services, one of the largest heavy equipment rental companies in the nation. After spending more than a decade building enterprise applications and analytics platforms, Stephen knows how to unlock the potential of IT investment and drive tangible and measurable results. He understands the importance of aligning IT spend with business outcomes and knows how to create the necessary alignment and shared organizational vision.Stephen began his career as a software developer for a consulting firm in Baton Rouge, LA. He joined H&E in 2002 as the first member of the enterprise applications team. In 2008, Stephen was promoted to director of information systems where he led an initiative to modernize the enterprise application platform. This included the implementation of multiple ERP platforms and the development of a suite of composite applications integrating those platforms into a consistent user experience. Before taking over as CIO, Stephen served as vice president of systems development. He served in this role for five years where his work focused on strategic alignment of operational, back office, and IT business units in support of the company’s business transformation and growth strategy.
