Stephen Gaj, is Leader of the Performance & Asset Management Team in the Office of Infrastructure for the Federal Highway Administration in Washington, D.C. He is responsible for implementation of the 23 U.S.C. 119 requirements pertaining to Transportation Performance Management and that States develop risk-based asset management plans for the National Highway System.Steve has been with FHWA for over 40 years. He previously worked in FHWA’s Office of International Programs where he led the international scanning program and technical cooperation and assistance activities, the Construction and Maintenance Division, and FHWA’s Division Offices in Maryland and Michigan.
