Member of a 3 person team managing a portfolio of almost 40 Global Energy and Materials stocks, with responsibility for stock specific research and investment decisions.As a bottom - up stock picker, driven by our value based investment philosophy and with individual responsibility for stocks within my team structure, my role entails applying my sector knowledge through:• Construction of stock specific DCF valuation models, modelling all aspects of a company’s operational and financial performance• Gaining investment insights from interaction with company management, industry specialists and on the ground research trips• Examination of corporate performance, capital allocation and financial strength to isolate and test key drivers and controversies that make the shares potentially undervalued• Utilising demanding valuation criteria including EVA, DCF and asset multiples to arrive at an estimate of underlying intrinsic value which drives my investment decision
