Stephen Garrett is a certified Project Management Professional with over 25 years of experience representing multiple owners’ interests for the planning and execution of complex industrial construction projects, in the Caribbean, USA, Southern Africa, and China. Mr. Garrett is founder and President of Natural Resource Development Solutions (NRDS); an international management consulting firm based in Georgia, USA. Working across cultural and language barriers, his leadership and oversight bridges the interests of foreign capital investors with those of local mineral resource owners in all phases of project management, from feasibility and related pre-construction work, through procurement, process facilities construction, and pre-commissioning activities. NRDS provides expertise in construction management of Aggregate plants, industrial raw materials manufacturing facilities, heavy chemicals, rail terminals, marine shipping terminals, as well as the installation of specialized materials handling equipment and structures. NRDS places a strong focus on life cycle costing principles, early incorporation of value engineering, and consistently diligent communications, supported by the appropriate choice of technologies. Mr. Garrett promotes and maintains a framework for sustainability in project management, addressing energy conservation and substitution issues, environmental, health and safety (EHS) concerns, business continuity and disaster planning.
