Examples of past matters over the last 15 years have included poultry farms, licensed premises, child care centres, public places of worship, residential developments, waste transfer stations and compulsory acquisition by RMS. Day Design conducted acoustic testing at the National Acoustic Laboratories for 4 years which concluded in December 2012. Data was generated for a variety of materials to determine the Sound Transmission Loss and Sound absorption in accordance with International and Australian Standards. A variety of machines such as air conditioner units were measured to determine the sound power level. The insertion loss provided by acoustic attenuators was also determined using the silenced wind tunnel.From September 2018 Day Design has access to a dedicated site testing facility used to conduct floor impact sound insulation testing including ceiling modifications, and waste water pipe testing including lagging.
