STEPHEN GENDEL was a public relations executive for nearly 20 years building on 25 years of experience in broadcasting. HIGHLIGHTSStephen has worked in radio and television, local and national, in Boston, Washington DC, Los Angeles and New York. As Steve Gendel, he created the medical beat at the CBS television station in Washington DC, was medical correspondent for CBS News Nightwatch with Charlie Rose and served as Chief Science and Medical Correspondent at CNBC. He has a Peabody, three EMMYs and numerous other awards. In 2000 after covering the Columbine High School massacre, he left reporting. Using his full first name “Stephen,” he went into medical public relations using his experience as a medical reporter to support his clients. In 2000 he opened his own firm in New York and moved back to Los Angeles in 2009 where he continued to run his business, Initiate PR.
