The Ex-Pat Marketing Group is a consulting company now based in Houston, which does marketing, public relations, event management, and strategic analysis. Clients are generally in the financial, insurance, retail and tourist related businesses. Now have added another division to help US companies locate divisions into Spain.However, since 2018 focused our has changed slightly to a broader analysis provider to include operations and general management.

Spectrum was and still remains Spectrum the largest English speaking radio network in Spain with a potential audience of 1.2 million foreign listeners. The “catchment area” extends more than 400 miles from the southern and eastern coasts of Spain, and also at present includes the island of Mallorca. I managed a brilliant team to up to 10 great professionals directly and up to 12 indirectly, as the areas outside of the main "start up area" were franchised. I managed daily functions of the company which included accounting, HR, sales and marketing. I was also responsible for strategic development and planning for expansion and project mangement that occurs with such endeavors, and I handled all of the financial functions.

A group of us took over the management of an existing golf equipment manufacturer and distributor, specializing in “made-to-measure” golf clubs, that was based in London and Wales. At the time was in bankruptcy and we were place in as an investment/turnaround team.Over the course of time the company was streamlined with new management principles and with technology. Upon selling the business the company distributors in France, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany. Ultimately, the company was sold to the German distributor. During this time I oversaw or accomplished:• Daily financial functions of the company, including accounting.• Created “trade-off/what if” analysis to see how the company can go forward.• Dealt with old outstanding creditors in an intelligent manner.• Responsible for strategic development and budgeting.• Helped implement agreed upon turnaround strategies, both operational and financial.• Investigated the market and sold 3 European regional franchises.• Monitored all accounting cost accounting and budgeting.• Consolidated and analyzed financial results by region and forecasts of revenues.

Bank based in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Worked in the credit card division which at the time was the one of the largest issuers in the United States.Worked directly for the Senior Vice President of Finance.• Daily reporting to the Chairman and senior staff as to the state of the division. Verbally, as well, when time permitted.• Developed monthly and yearly analysis to estimate losses due to non-paying customers. Most were generally accurate within 1% and one month, within $30. I developed ad hoc analysis regularly for C-Suite staff depending on the need. • Liaised with the collection department to examine any deviations in the actual numbers and the numbers projected, both on a formulated and operational level.• Gave analysis to sales and credit departments on which geographical areas proved to be better credit risks.

Analyzed European American Depository Receipts on the NYSE. Now the investment bank is a part of the UBS Group. I worked at the US desk, however, reported to the head of global equities. Some Some examples of companies that were followed were Telefonica, Shell, Deutsche Bank (as well as other European banking institutions), ICI, and BP.In addition, during the summer of my junior year, I was fortunate enough to gain job experience experience working for Morgan Stanley in London. I worked in various departments which then further cultivated an understanding of the workings from bottom to top of these types of institutions. Two or three days was even spent on how communication between departments took place, this was obviously before internal e-mails were embraced.During this time and very much on the periphery, assisted the attempted LBO of the international division of Beatrice Foods. I saw how the various divisions were analyzed for their valuation versus the valuation of the division as a whole. This gave me a far better understanding of how LBO's were accomplished. The groups that were involved outside of private investors were Bank Indo-Suez and Wesray Capital. The division was eventually bought at the 25th hour by a group funded by Drexel Burnham Lambert with Michael Milken.
