Developed and performed Customer Liaison function to work with internal Port Engineer divisions at Crowley to assist in development and implementation of enhanced yard availability specifications for overhauls and refurbishment of tugs and barges. This helped the Port Engineers to define and refine the specifications and the engineering to go with it, reducing unnecessary design costs and change orders at the shipyard.

Independent Marine Electrical Designer. Worked for various marine design firms and vessel operators in the Pacific Northwest. Major task was acting as Owner's Representative at the Ulstein Shipyard near Aalesund, Norway, during construction of the factory trawler F/V Alaska Ocean.

Journeyman Electrician. Built (and often redesigned) all ship's electrical systems for the ISSAQUAH Class WSF Ferries built at MP&E. Became the shipyard Electrical Designer for their Engineering Group.
