Dr. Glick is an internationally recognized expert on the physics of medical imaging with significant contributions to the area of x-ray imaging of the breast. He was recruited to the FDA, Division of Diagnostics, Imaging, and Software Reliability (DIDSR) in the Office of Science and Engineering Laboratories (OSEL) in 2014. Before 2014, Dr. Glick was a Full Professor of Radiology at University of Massachusetts Medical School. Throughout his career, his research has focused on medical imaging with emphasis on the physics of nuclear medicine, CT, and x-ray breast imaging modalities. Dr. Glick and his teams have published over 90 peer-review journal articles, over 140 conference proceedings papers, and 10 book chapters. He has been elected as a Fellow to the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in 2017 and the International Society of Optics and Photonics (SPIE) in 2020. In 2019, he was named a Federal Engineer of the Year for his contributions to x-ray breast imaging while at the FDA.
