I began my part time career whilst studying at college and university working as a general sales assistant which consisted of till duties, stock replenishment general and customer service. I then received a promotion to senior sales and was duty manager of the store. My duties in this role involved but weren't limited to ordering stock to guarantee the shop was at its correct fill level and ensuring the shop had the appropriate amount of each item. This was to certify that the shop was hitting daily and weekly sales targets. Excellent customer service skills was a key part in this role, always remaining level headed if any customer had a complaint. I was also in control of staff and had to ensure they new their specific duties for the day ahead. Cashing handling and banking the shops profits at the end of every shift accurately, was vital to keep on top of records in terms of monitoring the cash flow of the shop. Another area that I had to keep on top of was to ensure the shop was safely secured at the end of every shift.

Student placement in which I worked on a number of projects and gained a vast knowledge of both on and off site operations. The experience I gained ranges from but not limited to setting out, calculations for the gradients of pipes and what size of diameter was best suited to each individual project, liaising with relevant authorities and clients, working along side structural engineer, tool box talks, health and safety on site, site moral and maintenance on various water treatment systems that had been previously installed.
