Team Leader for the consultancy team. Implementing Open Housing, Open Contractor, Total Mobile and Open Assets.

In addition to my role at Cheshire West my job developed into a BA role. In this role I have managed projects and been the lead member of the IT team on others. I was the IT lead on a project to review and update the way we chase Tenants in Arrears. This involved a review of business and user processes, which was undertaken by myself and the Income Manager, I have produced all the documentation for these updates. It was also necessary to completely overhaul the way our housing system was setup to chase arrears. This required communication with the external provider (Capita) of our housing system, making the changes in a test system, creating and putting into action a thorough test plan before rolling out to the live system.I was the Project Manager to implement a new Anti-Social Behaviour System for Ellesmere Port and Neston, this involved creating and maintaining the project plan which included realistic timescales and target dates. I was responsible for organising meetings with the key stakeholders and consultants from the software provider, in these meetings we developed and customised the software for the company’s needs. I arranged training for the users of the new system and admin training for the department manager and members of the IT team who were required support the software. There were problems when implementing the product which needed to be overcome with the supplier, to stay on schedule with the project I created a temporary work around which prevented scope creep whilst a permanent solution was reached. It was important to review and document the ASB process and make sure this and the software worked with each other to improve the service provided. To resolve the problem with the software it needed to be on a server with a newer version of SQL. To resolve this a Change Request was submitted to move the program to a new server with a roll back plan in place to minimise risk (ITIL).

As a Systems Development Coordinator my role includes writing reports required by the business (SSRS, Humming Bird Open Query, Access and Excel Reports), provide trend analysis, support all the housing systems (including IBS Open Housing, Opti Time, TASK Total, ReACT, Qlikvew) and all the users of them. I am required to manage my time; prioritise helpdesk calls and deal with them within the timescales set out by our service level agreements. It was soon recognised within the department that my strengths lay in working with members of the business to develop systems and processes. I have the ability to communicate complicated computer terminology to managers and users in a language that they understand and also interpret what the business requires from a system to create a technical specification, professional documentation, user guides and provide training. I produced and held training sessions for groups and on a 1 on 1 basis to make the launch of new systems or processes easier. I consistently created IT systems and business processes that work with each other to improve efficiency, make savings and make users jobs easier.
