I am currently a Firefighter serving in the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. As a firefighter I am trained to work as an integral team member in high pressure situations where life and property may be at risk. I am an excellent communicator comfortable speaking in front of both groups and individuals. In my role to promote community safety I am often speaking with large groups of both adults and children. In my previous role as a golf professional I honed my skills as a communicator whilst coaching golfers, understanding how people have different ways of learning and adapting my approach to connect with the individual.In my previous roles as a Golf Professional I was also responsible for implementing membership recruitment and retention ideas, successfully growing weaker membership sections of the club and reducing the churn of members leaving. Helped drive green fee revenues and initiated a marketing campaign to increase society & visitor numbers.Pushed the club to embrace the power of social media, having a presence on all major platforms. Organising professional training for club staff to enable us to implement a social media strategy of storytelling.Have experience of sourcing and securing funding to develop the practice facilities of the club. Working alongside the Head Greenkeeper to improve the accessibility, availability & presentation of the practice area.Successfully stocked and managed a fully merchandised proshop servicing members and visitors alike.
