Stephen leads a high performing global team who are the custodians of bp Castrol's highly evolved Operating Management System (OMS). He implements OMS to deliver really safety improvements throughout Castrol, especially at the frontline. Castrol's OMS delivers certifications to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IASTM at all of Castrol's 21 blending plants around the world.In addition to managing the overall OMS Stephen also owns and delivers the key business processes Organisation Learning, Working with Contractors, Risk Assessment & Management, Environment & Carbon, Procedures & Practices, Management of Change, Incident Management, Regulatory Compliance, Community & Stakeholder Relationships, Audit & Assessment, Performance Review, and HumanPerformance agenda. These processes are core to a high performing organisation and to strong safetyperformance.Stephen uses his experience from working in Projects, Production, Group, Mobility & Convenience, bpPulse, Refining, and Castrol to bring in best practices and forge relationships between Castrol and bp.Stephen brings innovation and simplification to his work through strong servant leadership, an agilemindset and the application of the right tools for the job.Stephen is also the Secretary of the Castrol SVP's most important safety forum, the Castrol SORC.This enables the Castrol LT to manage and deliver their safety agenda efficiently and effectively.As a well respected member of the wider bp HSE&C community, Stephen acts as subject matter expertto the global OMS CoP, providing coaching and informing bp strategy. Externally, he represents bp onthe development committee for the forthcoming ISO 29010 standard on OMS for the Oil & Gas Industry.
