This was a fixed term contract at Mars Food UK Ltd providing cover for the Financial Controller whilst she was on maternity leave.My main responsibilities were as follows:To manage the Financial Accounting Function for Mars Food UK, both market and factory, including internal management accounts and all statutory information such as Corporation Tax input required for the legal entity. This also includes the period close process, long term and short term cash forecasts and submission of all corporate reports to head office.To manage and deliver cash targets for mars Food UK, including the management of payroll, expenses, intercompany, core accounting and stocks. This includes working with the Financial Operations team and other units of the business to reduce working capital to a sustainable level.To develop and lead control initiatives for Mars Food UK including reduction of stock balances, the external audit, Open pages and Virsa. This includes a hard close each quarter and a detailed review of the balance sheet.
