He is active in its management and has helped build this family business into the largest and fastest growing owner & manager of vacation rental properties on the east coast of central Florida (Space & Treasure Coasts).Steve was a Partner at Burlington Street Partners, a firm focused on acquiring & operating private businesses using partner capital. During his time he was involved in deal origination and operations, with a focus on the successful transition of owners and their responsibilities. Steve remains an advisor to BSP and investor in multiple portfolio companies. Before the shift to the world of small business, he was an award-winning Portfolio Manager with over 14 years of investment management experience. Formerly a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Cambridge / CI Global Asset Management, he started his career in the investment industry in 2007 at Fidelity Investments and joined CI Investments / Cambridge in 2011.He was a fundamental bottom-up stock picker who has constructed portfolios which demonstrated strong-risk adjusted returns. He managed multiple billions in AUM on behalf of hundreds of thousands of retail and institutional clients across Canada.During this time, he was recognized with numerous third party awards, including the co-winner of the Morningstar Breakout Fund Manager of the Year, winner of the 2019 Lipper Award for the Canadian Dividend category and a TopGun Investment Mind in the Brendan Wood International Canadian investment rankings from 2015 to 2019.
