My team is tasked with making Bloomberg News a global leader for newsroom diversity and inclusion. This newly launched initiative has brought greater focus to how we operate, who we speak to for comment on our core coverage areas and how we can leverage our global footprint to bring change to our business practices. The aim of this effort is to deliver greater fairness and balance across all of our editorial platforms and in all forms of content. My key area of responsibility is to oversee initiatives tasked with diversifying our sources. My background in technology development has enabled me to bear my analytical expertise and ensure that as we move forward with changes to our business, we are tracking the necessary metrics to ensure we are indeed moving the needle forward. Through this effort we've overhauled how we build sources, determine who we bring on to talk on the issues of the day and most importantly how we can organically drive incremental improvements.

I have been with Bloomberg since 2008; currently, I oversee and mange 2 Project and 3 Product Managers accountable for improving the timeliness for data acquisition through the innovative design and development of news automation initiatives and breaking news tools. I direct global operations that support 2500+ news staff; resolve technical issues that delay market moving data from both automated and manual reporting sources. We improve performance in break-out news markets by analyzing the deficiencies in current practices and identifying opportunities for improvement. I perform research into developing forward-thinking initiatives to meet and exceed annual business plan goals. By developing and implementing global strategies, we are able to build custom automation solutions to ingest news and improve efficiencies using agile methodology to drive global projects and tool enhancements.SELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:• I collaborate with senior management to execute a pipeline of 66+ new projects and maintain the competitiveness of over 300 existing news automation projects. • Under my leadership, we are able to improve delivery time of market moving data to clients by up to 10-15 minutes through standardizing the news automation technology stack resulting in minimized recovery time, reduced maintenance, and improved overall integration of technologies and automation processes.• I was able to deliver an increase of 167% of automation projects in North and South America resulting in a performance increase of 98% vs our competition.I am a key member of expansion team that entered into Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay to develop out data distribution infrastructure.

Throughout my role as product manager, I supervise the full life-cycle product development for 3 product groups. I manage simultaneous new product development projects that focus on enhancing breaking news publication, news automation, directing technical operations, and improve overall data acquisition. As team leader, I provide guidance, mentorship, support, and direction throughout the design, development, and implementation phases. Furthermore, I conduct user research, define project scope, devise plan, oversee development and benchmarks, and lead teams in product roll-out. SELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:• Customize news tools and products for utilization in government run data distribution facilities around the globe to report, move, and publish data faster than competing news outlets.• I oversee the design of publication solutions, custom data acquisition tools, and realignment of automation approach that current tools cannot handle.

I collaborate with senior news managers to analyze deficiencies in news reporting practices. I look for opportunities to improve performance and break out into new markets. I am able to conduct research and participate in initiatives that are rolled-out from the annual business plan which enable Bloomberg to continue delivering breaking news first to its customers. These studies identifies areas for improvement, including specific recommendations for increasing staff, tool development and content acquisition to further improve Bloomberg’s performance against its competitorsSELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:• I spearhead a swat team that evaluates timing metrics for headline performance; analyze data and direct strategies to improve headlining performance against the competition.• Provide specific recommendations for increasing staff and improving tool development and content acquisition, furthering the improvement of Bloomberg’s performance.

I led the development of the global business continuity plan for over 152 bureaus ensuring Bloomberg News remained operational and competitive during a disruption to its staff and/or offices

I led full-cycle project management for my team that enabled data extraction from various websites, newswires, and various media outlets and sources. Here, the data was utilized to generate automated headlines that published for clients, I developed project plans, coordinated timelines, oversaw benchmarks, and ensured all deliverables with produces on-time.

Oversaw all operational and administrative support and directed an 11-man team which was accountable for news across North and South America. I supported the international efforts and activities for 62 bureaus with over 800 staff throughout 2 continents. Through outstanding work efforts and success, I was promoted in under 1 year to manage News Administration team.

I was an integral member of the International News Administration team that provided operational and administrative support for the New York news bureau.

I provided technical support and oversaw the coordination for the marketing and publicity departments. I successfully managed multiple visual and video materials for utilization that promoted our company within competitive marketplace.
