I am a dedicated History and Religious Studies teacher with a Master's, undergraduate degree, and PGCE from Durham University. With years of experience in both academic and pastoral roles, I aim to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in my students, helping them to engage deeply with historical and religious topics. My teaching philosophy combines academic rigor with a nurturing approach to pastoral care, ensuring students feel supported both inside and outside the classroom. I take pride in fostering a learning environment that encourages intellectual growth, empathy, and personal development, preparing students not only for exams but for life beyond the classroom. My notable achievements are excellent academic results (2+ Value added for the 2023-24 History ad Religious Studies Cohorts), successful pastoral and holistic support as a tutor, and various extra-curricular roles as a leader of football & chess clubs and a key organiser of extra-curricular trips.
