Stephen has over thirty years’ experience in the AEC industry and has enjoyed a wide and varied career focused on Civil / Structural / multi-disciplinary activities ranging from CAD Management, to the preparation of general arrangement drawings, reinforced concrete and structural steelwork detailing as well as the inspection of structures. For the last fifteen of his career he has been involved in various Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technologies using various platforms including Revit, Microstation, Bentley Structural and Triforma, alongside multi-disciplinary coordination packages Solibri and Navisworks.Some notable projects across his career include: North Zealand Hillerod Hospital, Queensferry Crossing, Yas Island Ferrari Theme Park, London Luton Airport expansion, International departure Lounge redevelopment at Gatwick Airport North Terminal, the New Byre Theatre at St Andrews, Lomond Shores Visitor Attraction, the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) in Glasgow, and most recently the roof at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.He has wide experience in the use of AutoCAD from as early as Release 10 which he used as far back as 1989, as well as the use of R.C. Detailing packages such as CADS-RC and CAD-Rebar. He also has experience in detailing structural steelwork for fabrication, processing, parts listing and erection purposes.

Since joining Ramboll in 2004, Stephen has acted as a Principal Technician on notable projects including Yas Island Ferrari Theme Park in Abu Dhabi, Whittingham Drive residential Development, SoCo Hotel Edinburgh, Drayton Park Residential Development, British Embassy Sana'a, Yemen, the New Forth Road Bridge Crossing, the New Forth Road Bridge Crossing Control Centre, and a new steel framed function suite for the deck of the Royal Yacht Britannia moored in Edinburgh's Western Harbour, as well as many school and university framework projects, including the £70 million PPP project in East Ayrshire which included 3 new build super schools, PFI project for Kent Schools, PFI project for Bassetlaw schools, and North Lancashire Council framework for 4 additional refurbishment and new build schools, the refurbishment of Appleton Tower for Edinburgh University, the new build Sheffield University Learning Resource Centre, and surveying and detailing of an extension to the Department of Plant Sciences at Cambridge University, and the new IDL extension to the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport. He is currently working on expansion plans to London Luton Airport.
