I was appointed VP Business Development - Commercial programs for Fokker Technologies. in this role I was responsible for overseeing all business development across Fokker Technologies group of companies. Establishing strategic account management across the group created a more co-ordinated and focussed approach to our customers and gaining new business.

In 2011 it was decided to re-merge Fokker Aircraft Services into Fokker Services. In this new role at Fokker Services I was focussing largely on developing Fokker Services in China. I also have a dual role that combines that I have the same responsibility at Fokker Techologies group level overseeing and co-ordinating for our Structures business (Fokker Aerostructures), Wiring business (Fokker Elmo), Services business (Fokker Services) and our Landing Gear business (Fokker Landing Gear). It is a role that I really enjoying working closely with a lot a of aircraft technology and integration experienced people to find and implement ways in which we can satisfy the customers needs.

In the late part of 2008 it was decided to split Fokker Services into two seperate companies, at that time I decided to move to focus on Fokker Aircraft Services, which is airframe maintenance, conversions and completions business with extensive backshop capabilities. I am very proud that we were able to establish and position the business in the 737/A320 airframe maintenance with particular focus on aircraft redeliveries. This was a great team effort, with powerful customer focus and determinaton which proved successful and continues growing today. We also produced a beautiful A320 VIP conversion which we contracted and delivered with the customer and peers commendation for quality.

I joined Fokker Services in 2006 with the goal to develop the diversification of the company into new markets. In addition to developing our Fokker type customers, much of my time and energy was spent developing with my colleagues the component repairs, ABACUS pbh logistic solutions and to bring Fokker Services and Bombardier into a business relationship for supporting their Dash 8 aircraft which ceased production in 2008. This was later cemented into a Partnership to globally support Dash 8 aircraft. Fokker Services has a lot of talent that I really enjoyed working with in together taking steps in the development of the company in a challenging market.

I joined AAR in 2005, which was my first experience in working for a services/aftermarket company. It was a bit of a circle evolution for me since in my years at Lucas I was involved in selling many of the types of components that AAR repairs. I really enjoyed my short time at AAR and had a good team of people that I enjoyed working with. During that period as a team we were able to conclude an important deal with BAe Systems to support their BAe 146/AVRO aircraft.

Hoogerheide

I had the honour of joining Fokker Elmo to lead its business transition with the aim to be a global supplier of wiring systems (EWIS) to the worlds aircraft OEMs instead of focussed on Fokker aircraft. Looking back we were extremely successful in this mission by creating a customer focussed company with global operations (at that time in China but with the aim to go further ie Turkey) and new markets in engine wiring. Achievements which I will always be proud of and appreciative of working with such a great team of people.

Following my apprenticeship I entered the Sales & Marketing department. Over the years I grew in various Sales Manager functions, covering electrical and mechanical product sales. My last role was a Marketing Manager where I lead the succesful eveolution of electrical systems into Variable Frequency solution which replaced the traditional Constant Frequency solutions, (IDGs). This success was on the Bombardier Global Express. This was a great experience to change industry thinking with regard to aircraft electrical systems. Something we would not have been able to achieve without the focus and dedication of a great team and a customer who saw that this meet their needs and placed their trust in us. This is now the baseline solution for aircraft, indeed a major step in making the all electric aircraft a reality, as this enabled for the later evolution aircraft to be able to use the generator as an engine starter motor thus eliminating the need for air starters and their associated piping and ducting through the wings and to the APU. Boeing and Hamilton Sundstrand applied this solution on the most electric aircraft todate - being the 787. I am proud to have been a major player in creating the catylist for the more electric aircraft to become a reality.
