•Research, design and development of power, digital and analogue solutions for intense pulse light products for high volume mass production•Ensure that electronic products are designed and tested in accordance with medical and consumer regulatory standards•Design, build and test prototypes producing documentation and test reports to required standards•Utilise simulation, schematic and PCB design tools•Contribute to the product cost down development program. •Reliability and regulatory testing of products (EMC, electrical safety), including submissions to external regulatory bodies.

•Responsible for the management of all areas of electronic design •Responsible for design, build, programming, test and product introduction•Utilise simulation and PCB design software•Liaise with external suppliers and test houses•Responsible for seeking cost down and increasing profitability by sourcing alternative components.

•Evaluate and develop the technical specifications required in liaison with customers.•Design new power supplies and related products to meet customer requirements.•Ensure that appropriate standards, both commercial and military are applied.•Develop PCB designs and mechanical configurations. •Develop and test prototypes to ensure compliance with customer requirements.•Write specifications for test and qualification purposes.•Evaluate technical considerations at design reviews.

• Co-ordinate a multi skilled electronics department comprising 5 teams totalling 20 personnel designing analogue, digital, microprocessor, video, audio, IF and RF circuitry from concept to high volume mass production.• Design and develop new concept proposals• Authorise product/circuit performance, reliability and safety meeting internal and external approval requirements• Liaise with software, mechanical and production departments to agree project deliverables• Create detailed development plans • Maintain completion level compared to scheduled gated objectives• Conduct project reviews and maintain project documentation

• Design and develop cost effective, high quality power solutions including SMPS, PFC, DCDC, LED drivers, backlight inverters and deflection circuits from concept to high volume mass production• Lead team of 8 Engineers and 2 Technicians• Create hardware, software and production specifications• Create detailed development plans• Discrete and semiconductor component selection• Produce schematics and PCB layouts to meet safety, reliability, EMC and performance standards• Task and problem management• Review third party designs and provide improvements and solutions to problem items
