Working in the capacity of a Project Employment Advisor on a community based voluntary employability scheme. Stakeholder analysis through establishing key partnering arrangements, business development and promotional activities. I covered the ABC council area offering employability advice, guidance, help and support to unemployed people in the form of personal development plans, new training opportunities, and with real employment opportunities, utilising efficient project management knowledge in line with employability business development principles.

The main duties of this position was to successfully manage a caseload of long term unemployed people in the ABC council area with a view of returning them to full time employment. The roles in the position were numerous covering all aspects of employability, from training, job searching, personal development to obtaining qualifications. This was a target driven position with KPI's and job attainment, training programmes, public relations, business development, mentoring, marketing, finance, auditing, governmental paperwork, administration, recruitment, motivational and confidence building. From this role I developed in my coaching ability with my interpersonal skills with a firm focus on obtaining targets. Stakeholder analysis both internal and external was key to the success of this role working with a range of people from diverse background. The result of this position was over achievement of targets for two years.

The main duties of a development officer was to actively source employment opportunities from employers and fitting the appropriate applicant with the position. Caseload management, people management, leadership, coaching and mentoring were paramount to the role. Other duties included over-seeing trainee progress on the governmental young training programme, reviewing and monitoring trainees on programmes, facilitating progression and exit pathways, trainee retention on individual programmes, continued personal development, staff training, promotional activities, meeting with representatives of a high standing within their community. The result of the position was establishing a full network of stakeholder employers links and attainment of targets for two years.

Firstly in the amateur ranks, I represented the Ireland team at senior level in Canada in 2003. I then turned professional in 2005 and had a fight record of 24 fights, 22 wins, 3 loses and one draw. I became the professional Irish Welterweight champion in 2009. Throughout this fighting career, I fought in many prestigious arenas from the Odyssey, Ulster Hall, O2 Dublin, Kings Hall, The Point, Dublin, and the National Stadium Dublin. I was also given British boxing best new prospect 2009 and have my own Wikipedia page. From my time of being a professional athlete, I studied to obtain a degree and further my coaching at University of Ulster. Boxing, taught me all about hard work, discipline, professionalism, motivation, being competitive and confidence. From this career, I have utilised my transferable skills to overachieve in the business environment, perform on an individual level or part of a team.
