Dr. Stephen Hicks was born in Texas. Due to his father’s position as an engineer with Exxon, Dr. Hicks moved to California during high school and graduated from Slidell High School in 1972. He received his under-graduate degree in biology from the University of New Orleans and his D.D.S. at LSU Dental School. After dental school, Dr. Hicks joined the US Navy and provided his excellent services to our country’s bravest. In 1984, Dr. Hicks moved to Mobile, AL and opened his private practice in General Dentistry. In 1992, he sold that practice, and attended the University of Western Ontario to receive a two-year master’s degree in orthodontics. He returned to Mobile in 1994 and began the very successful orthodontic practice you see today! Dr. Hicks is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and is constantly continuing his own education through training and research. He is fully dedicated at delivering state of the art treatment and top-of-the-line services to everyone he treats. Therefore, Dr Hicks is always expanding his knowledge bank. Outside of the office, Dr. Hicks enjoys hunting, fishing, and collecting old records. He is an active member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church. Above all, he loves spending time with his family; wife, Patty, and children: Michael (26), Bradley (21), and Meredith (19). Dr. Hicks is a caring and considerate person and he applies that to every aspect of his life: family, friends, faith, and his patients.
