Clients included primary care and the specialty practices of Orthopaedics, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Urology, Cardiology, Plastic Surgery, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy and Allergy. Hoffman Data Services, Inc. (HDS) was founded in 1985 as a healthcare billing company, it quickly built a reputation as a company that could provide a wide range of consulting services including; management consulting, information system design and support, and physician practice management. Contract consultant for the development of Alta Bates Medical Resources, Inc. the first Medical Services Organization (MSO) in the San Francisco Bay Area and Alta Bates Medical Associates, Inc. a 30 physician integrated Primary Care medical group.

Responsible for the development of the long-range strategic information system business plan for Project IMPACT USA Inc., a national non profit juvenile counseling and job training ministry. Responsible for the standardization of administrative systems, data collection, computer hardware & software, program evaluation, and accounting processes for both the corporate office as well as all local IMPACT Centers across the country. Developed operational budgets for Project IMPACT USA and new IMPACT Centers as they were brought online. Consulting with new IMPACT Centers on business setup and operation of their center.

Responsible for the daily operations of the Alliance of Healthcare Advisors, Inc., a national consulting firm specializing in business development for the healthcare industry including Hospitals, Medical Groups, and publicly traded physician practice management companies. Additionally, provided consulting services to healthcare clients in the areas of information systems, operations, new business development & planning, cost reduction, and efficiency analysis. Developed extensive training programs on the implementation of information systems in healthcare. Provided practice analysis and valuations for practice mergers and group formation projects. Provided registration and conference management services for the education division of the company for symposiums of over 1000 attendees.

Responsible for the daily operations of the Practice Development Resources Department, which provided management consulting services to the 1,200 healthcare providers associated with California Health System (CHS), the largest hospital network in the San Francisco Bay area. The services included: group formation, staff training, information systems, billing and collections, new business development, operation efficiency analysis and cost reduction. Provided development consultation of several health systems initiatives including the State of California’s CHIN program. Provided contract practice administrator services for medical groups from 3 to 27 physicians, managing staff as large as 75 employees.
