During my time at BNP Paribas (BNP) and Bank of China International Global Commodities (UK) Limited (BOCI), I gained extensive experience as Head of Operations, responsible for the daily operation of the company and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Working hand in hand with the CEO in the overall administration of the firm, I established a solid platform to be able to deliver on the strategic goals set out by the Board of Directors, while I took personal responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of multiple support functions to drive growth. Notable achievements during my tenors at these two firms include BNP establishing itself as one of the largest clearers on ICE Europe, while BOCI went from a brand-new start-up to a clearer of LME, ICE and CME, becoming a leader in the rapidly growing Chinese brokerage market. During my time in the above roles, I planned, organised, and controlled all day-to-day activities of the Operations function, while always ensuring compliance with Exchange and Bank policies / procedures as well as observing local regulatory rules.
