I was a professor at the Strategic Studies Institute of the college.The Strategic Studies Institute engages in research in support of Army, Joint, and OSD senior leaders. I taught courses on low-intensity conflict, Soviet foreign policy in the Third World, Introduction to Soviet politics.

I taught six courses a year on all phases of Russian history from medieval to the present, European cultural history, European diplomatic history, comparative European revolutions, graduate courses in European history, both halves of the Western Civilization survey.
