Medicine Design Data Strategy And Design Manager
CurrentA Secondment role in the Department of Data and Computational SciencesThe primary purpose of the Data Strategy and Design Manager role in the Medicine Design team is defining scientific business cases and translating them into technical requirements for data pipelines and analytics solutions. The Data Strategy and Design Manager leads the early stages of data and analytics solutions development efforts that evaluate the potential to automate the integration, preparation and provisioning of access to analysis-ready data, enabling our scientists to spend more time on interpretation and decision-making and less time on repetitive, manual data manipulation. The Data Strategy and Design Manager will also have a leadership role in activities to improve the overall data landscape for small molecule medicine design in areas such as increasing the quality of data capture in operational systems, as well as developing and embedding data standards including controlled vocabularies and defining required metadata fields to enable reuse.Orchestrated delivery, via Business, RD Tech and Vendor partnerships, of the end to end high content data flows project• Accountable for a large, multi-discipline global team (vendor and internal software developers, Subject Matter Experts, Stakeholders, Early Adopters) in the delivery of capability to address loss of content and context at every step of legacy end to end data flows• Delivering capability to enable analysis and reporting of novel data types (eg synergy screening) and AI/ML workflows
