I completed my Engineering Senior Design Project while studying abroad. With a group of 21 other Miami University students, I spent four weeks in London working on innovative solutions for the Birkdale Pediatric and Neuro Clinic. The Birkdale Clinic is a physical therapy facility that helps patients, mostly children, with brain damage or a physical disability improve their quality of life by helping them gain more physical functionality. Many patients had very little movement in their hands, so my group created a series of video games that these patients could play using only the motion of their eyes while looking at the screen. We were then able to test these games with actual patients and make improvements based on feedback.

I worked closely with welding and engineering professionals to update work processes for the production of mechanical parts as well as in quality control, ensuring that parts meet customer specifications at various points along the fabrication process.
