I am an embedded developer with not only the required coding expertise, but also a deep understanding of how software and hardware interact and communicate along with the tradeoffs in design.

Design of Transit Time Flow Meters and Doppler Flow Meters for (waste water, Hydro power plants, rivers, CSO's). Design responsibilities to include (DSP Hardware base, Embedded Software(Signal Processing and Communications)). Communications schemes of Direct Connect (Ethernet TCP/IP, RS232, RS485), Landline modems (when popular), CDMA and GPRS wireless technologies.Design of a Cavitation Monitoring System for measuring vibrational modes on turbine blades within Hydro power plants. Utilizing the latest time DSP technology. Design of the analog front end to achieve pre-processing for digital conversion to include active and passive filters, demodulation, and two stage AGC. Actual sensor technology using an accelerometer excited with a high frequency for modulation, sixty Hertz and harmonics extracted through analog demodulation hardware. Design of the post processing embedded DSP hardware and software with communications controls to a PC platform.Offshore Group Participation (ORE International, now Edge Tech in West Wareham, Mass):As an addendum I was asked to participate in a design with the offshore group for a new multi-beacon design for the French Navy of which I contributed the digital timing, control and transmit waveform generation circuitry and software. The transmit waveform technology was "Chip-Chirp" based. Digital design also included the transceiver control section. The circuitry was based on the latest LSI CPLD chips on the current market. Power consumption and size were a high drive priority for this design.

Systems can be found for reference on "You Tube",as the company has long been dissolved and sold. Just search Microtime Inc. video systems.I have worked with many other engineers on most of these projects.
