Established the Japan NZ Partnership Forum and the Korea New Zealand Business Roundtable. Advocates domestically and internationally for open markets including in the context of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and other negotiations. Manages the Tradeworks communications platform.

The APEC Business Advisory Council (www.abaconline.org) provides advice to APEC Economic Leaders and Ministers on APEC's vision for free trade and economic integration in the Asia Pacific region. New Zealand has three members on ABAC appointed by the Prime Minister.

The St John's College Trust Board is a trust that provides for education with the Anglican Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia. The Trust was established in 1859 by Bishop George Augustus Selwyn who purchased 1330 acres in what is now commonly known as St John's Auckland. On this land was erected the College of St John the Evangelist, continues in operation on this same site today. The balance of the land was held as an endowment for the purpose of funding the College. Over the intervening years the fortunes of the Trust and College waxed and waned. However, after many years of existing in the wilderness 'sufficiently isolated from the undesirable attractions of the city', the wealth of the Trust expanded and as the boundaries of the City of Auckland met and then expanded beyond the Trust's lands. In 1972, with the fortunes of the Trust having benefited from the subdivision and sale of lands, the St John's College Trusts Act was passed in order to broaden the charitable purposes of the Trust. The NZ Forest Industries Council was a pan industry organization representing the interests of New Zealand's forestry and wood processing industries, at the time the country's third largest export sector. In my role as CEO I advocated for the industry's interests especially through the Wood Processing Strategy, sought to maximise the involvement of the industry in NZ's Climate Change policies and sought better outcomes for the industry from international trade, especially in the WTO Doha Round and in the Chinese market. I successfully secured the recognition of radiate pine in the Chinese Building Code.
