Following a successful career in education; managing people and implementing change to achieve excellent results, I decided to apply my coaching skills to my own situation. Having been a Head of Department in several schools, ensuring the successful planning and putting into action of educational initiatives and programmes, I wondered where my next challenge lay. Why look for a new challenge? I was recently asked why I did an Ironman. I replied that about December time the previous year I realised I had said to several people, "Oh, I don't think I could do an Ironman..." We are often only limited by our own thinking.The outcome of this has been a decision to channel my energy and skills into building a new career direction. After an initial role leading a small team in a Learning and Development unit, I have now ventured into Programme & project management and am enjoying the learning curve.
