First and foremost, I am a proud father of two boys who keep me on my toes every day! Watching my two boys grow, I see a lot of myself in them. Growing up, I was always curious as to how things worked. My grandmother gifted me a child tool set (albeit, a set which actually worked) and the first thing I did when she turned her back was take the covers off the electrical outlets to see what was inside. It was no surprise that I ended up seeking out a career as a technician. During my time as CADD Technician with Hydro One, I worked on teams to develop protection systems for some of the province's largest assets and designed the circuitry that accomplished that feat. Now as a senior CADD designer, I lead and mentor a dedicated team of CADD technicians and CADD drafters. This has given me the opportunity to share my skillset with my fellow workers and be more involved in projects throughout the province. My seasoned skill set has allowed to me to complete many large scale projects ahead of strict deadlines, teach members of my team and optimize the process in which drafting operates. In my current role, I'm learning how to be a more effective leader and how to get the most out of my team. Outside of my profession, I have a thirst for knowledge. You can usually find me with my nose buried in a history, political or financial book. If not there, I'm outside trying to captain my baseball team to victory or at the park with with the most important people in my life, my family.
