Designed well completions for small and medium-sized independant O&G operators. Wrote field procedures and provided offshore rig-site supervision of critical operations (e.g., displacement, tubing-conveyed perforating, installation of gravel-packed screens) and went onboard the pumping vessel to design and provide quality-control of frac-pack treatments. Performed up to four completions a month. Typically reduced completion rig times by 15 to 30% over previous operations and improved both well productivity and sand-control reliability.

Led a multidisciplinary team in the development of oil and gas, coalbed methane, and cogeneration projects in the US and Poland. Prepared economic forecasts and organized funding from industry sources. Served as President of the first foreign JV drill wells in Poland. Imported modern portable drilling and workover rigs to Poland. JV was sold to a European consortium in 1994.

Working for contractor Resource Enterprises Inc., I served as a Project Manager in Gas Research Institute’s Coalbed Methane Technology Enhancement Program. I identified key areas for technological improvement, developed programs with leading industry operators to leverage GRI research funding into ongoing industry development activity to increase impact and hasten results. I earned GRI’s contract renewal for REI.

Operations Engineer / Team Lead - worked with specialists in Land, Geoscience, Regulatory to identify oil and gas and coalbed methane development opportunities in my assigned geographic areas. Prepared economic projections and presented investment options to management for approval. Worked with district personnel to ensure successful field execution.

Reservoir Engineer prepared reserve estimates and identified development drilling opportunities of oil and gas properties in the DJ Basin, Wamsutter Trend, and the Four Corners Region. I served as Technology Lead on Amoco’s Coalbed Methane Task Group.

Located at Amoco’s Research Center and working in the Production Stimulation Group, I fielded technology requests from Amoco’s Denver Region. I interfaced with Amoco’s top researchers to develop solutions, prepare a field test program, assist the Region with field implementation, and document the results. Notable tech projects included: improved procedures for calibration mini-frac’s, employing tiltmeters and seismic sensor arrays to map hydraulic fracture propagation, design and execution of a precision micro frac pack on the injector in a 5-acre polymer-flood pilot, improving fracture treatments and dewatering programs for coalbed methane wells. Had the good fortune to work with Ken Nolte, Mike Smith, George King, and Ralph Veatch.

Production Engineer responsible for day-to-day operations of approx 100 producing oil and gas wells. Supported four drilling rigs with QA/QC of well logs, well casing and cement designs, and completion procedures for tight gas and low-perm oil wells. Designed and supervised execution of massive hydraulic fracturing treatments.
