Responsible for managing a team of more than 15 people that provide language and technical support multilingual tools designed to facilitate the authoring and translation of SAP documentation, training materials and user interface texts. I also handled all contract negotiations with our 3rd party software vendors and coordinated closely with our development team to prioritize, develop, test and implement new requirements.

Responsible for the coordination and management of translation projects for all SAP software products into more than 40 languages, including the introduction of three new languages (Farsi, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese).

Seckenheim, Germany

Responsible for all production and manning for over 98 sites throughout Germany. I created and maintained a complex database that integrated production data, work stoppage reports, new unit start-ups, site closures, and personnel files for over 650 workers.

Frankfurt, Germany

Responsible for coordinating with airport officials and state department desk officers to ensure the safe and expedient passage of diplomats and classified pouches through security and customs.

Heidelberg, Germany

Responsible for all administrative, financial, and operational issues for European operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Albania, to include the overall contract management and financial oversight of over 3,000 contract linguists under agreement with the U.S. Army in Europe. My duties included hiring, placement, scheduling, training, evaluation and counseling of personnel. I was responsible for calculating pay each month, as well as payments to local contractors and service providers. I conducted cost-analysis for ad-hoc mission requirements, authorized and arranged for TDY (temporary duty) trips, and approved and processed all travel expense reports and medical claims. I coordinated with local authorities to ensure personnel were properly registered and in accordance with host country tax laws. I also served as the Liaison to the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, where I worked closely with high-ranking military officials to maintain operational requirements, discuss additional contractual requests and report on all concerns and issues regarding operations in Europe. I coordinated with Site Managers throughout the Balkans and delivered daily reports to Unit Commanders and key Military Points of Contact. I attended high-level meetings on a monthly basis in Budapest, Hungary to discuss current operations with military officials, contracting representatives and other Site Managers.

Tuzla, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Responsible for all financial and administrative matters for approximately 350 contract Serbo-Croatian linguists operating in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. I coordinated with military units and Base Camp managers to assign linguists and track work schedules. I organized, prepared and executed cash and wire-transfer payments for linguist services each month. I maintained accurate local and petty cash bank accounts, to include tracking and converting local currencies using up-to-date exchange rates. I collected, processed, and paid all travel expense reports, business expenses, local service provider payments and medical claims. I planned and organized recruiting events, testing cycles for new linguists and indoctrination for new contractors. I maintained and updated personnel files for all current and former contractors. I created and processed all official documents coming in and going out of our offices. I conducted staff evaluations and made recommendations for awards and promotions.

Brcko, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Responsible for the testing, hiring, outfitting, and initial placement of approximately 95 contract linguists operating out of Camp McGovern Army Base in Brcko, Bosnia-Herzegovina. My duties included scheduling, transporting, paying, evaluating, counseling and routine administrative functions. I coordinated with Base Commanders and various civilian agencies on a daily basis to conduct operations throughout the region.

Kaposvar, Hungary

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting and distributing intelligence to U.S. Army units and civilian agencies operating out of Hungary. As a supervisor, my duties included the scheduling, training and administrative supervision of 15 U.S. contractors.

Rota, Spain

I served five years working in the naval intelligence community. I operated sophisticated state-of-the-art electronic radio receivers, magnetic recording devices, computer terminals and associated peripherals in the communications signals environment. I worked with classified material; translated, interpreted and transcribed foreign language communications data; analyzed and reported highly technical information of strategic and tactical importance to fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies; performed temporary duty aboard a variety of naval surface vessels and aircraft. I received the Good Conduct Award, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, two Air Medals, the Sea Service Ribbon and the National Defense Service Medal.
