Stephen Jones is a Training Manager, 22 Engineer Regiment and the Royal School of Military Engineering at British Army. Colleagues describe him as "Steve was the Captain of UK Armed Forces Rowing while I was the Chair. He impressed me with his leadership and inclusiveness and was a calming and unifying influence of a high-performing team brought together from across the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force. Steve helped to grow the visibility of the team and the size of the squad. His work rate and work ethic were first class, noting that it was a voluntary position which took up a great deal of his personal time. On top of all that he committed to the brutal physical training required to be an athlete. He truly was a leader on and off the water, and also built international relationships through his planning and leadership of the squad overseas. I would have Steve in my ‘dream team’ because of his ability to deliver, influence others and to think differently. It was an absolute pleasure working with him."
