Stephen Kessler is an Academy Award & Directors' Guild of America nominated writer, director, and producer of features, television, advertising, and branded content. His writing career started as an advertising copywriter at JWT and then Chiat/Day, where he became the youngest writer on the Apple creative team. His recent feature documentary, Paul Williams Still Alive, about the iconic singer/songwriter/actor from the 1970s, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, and was one of Rotten Tomato’s highest rated films of 2012 (97% Fresh). Kessler's feature films include Vegas Vacation, starring Chevy Chase. His comedic directing for the television show Jimmy Kimmel Live has been nominated for an Emmy. He was the executive producer and co-creator (along with Seth Green and The Bachelor’s Ken Fuchs) of ControlTV, an interactive branded content show that won NAPTE’s Best Branded Entertainment. In advertising, Kessler has won many advertising industry awards including Cannes, One Show, Clios, and AICP awards for clients like McDonald's, Snapple, HBO, Coca Cola, Taco Bell, American Express, T-Mobile, and Qwest Communications. His groundbreaking, reality-based "Snapple Lady" campaign has been shown in the Museum of Modern Art. He has filmed and interviewed thousands of people, all over the world.
