• Provided strategic advice on economic, industry and regional development issues. Seconded as economic development advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Development over 2000-2004.Work included:
• policy development for the integration of Industry New Zealand and Trade New Zealand (to form New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) and enhancements to industry and regional development programmes
• policy development for Industry New Zealand programmes and services including the Enterprise Awards Scheme, the Business Growth Scheme, Major Investment Service and Regional Partnerships Programme
