Partner and Co-Founder of HighPoint Media Advisors, Mr. Kovach is responsible for the day to day operations of the firm as well as maintaining and enhancing its relationships across the media and entertainment industry. Mr. Kovach has over 24 years experience originating, structuring or analyzing hundreds of structured finance transaction across a variety of markets, structures, asset classes and industries. His transaction experience spans assets in the media, leveraged loan, private equity, automotive, credit card, consumer and commercial loan, timeshare, equipment and CLO industries.Mr. Kovach began his career with National Westminster Bank where he was placed in the bank’s management training program and formally credit trained. He moved on to ANZ Investment bank where he co-managed a $3 billion non-bank financial institution credit portfolio and originated a $1 billion structured credit portfolio of equity securities. Mr. Kovach joined Dresdner Kleinwort’s financial institutions group in 1999 to focus on buy-side investments in the specialty-finance and CLO arena. His contributions helped the team grow its portfolio to $4 billion in assets. In his capacity as a FIG banker, Mr. Kovach has developed a strong network of relationships with major Wall Street firms and specialty finance companies that participate in the structured finance and banking arena. Mr. Kovach also worked with Mr. Moore in the Financial Institutions Group, responsible for originating structured finance and securitization business from financial institution clients. Mr. Kovach is a member of the CFA Institute and received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2002. He was previously Series 7 and 63 registered, holds a MBA from Rutgers University and an undergraduate degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.
