I started selling advertising space for the electric utility industry's number-three publication as a Regional Sales Manager with a 12 state territory in 1989. Over the years my success and territory grew to 17 states and 6 Canadian provinces and the brand become the number-one publication in the industry. In 2011 I became the National Sales Manager keeping my territory, but adding the managing of an 8 person sales staff. In 2013 I was promoted to Associate Publisher, again keeping my territory responsibilities while taking a more managerial role with our editorial, circulation, marketing and production departments. In 2017 we added the Utility Analytics Institute to our team. The institute is centered around a membership experience that allows utilities and solution provider members to share insights, knowledge and practical application techniques. My role has further expanded into selling solution provider memberships and event sponsorships. In 2020, our energy brands were purchased by Endeavor B2B and we are now part of the Energy Group which includes legacy Pennwell Brands Utility Products, Distributed Energy and Transmission Hub.In addition to my responsibilities with the Energy Group, I manage several cross-over accounts for sister publications Electrical Construction & Maintenance and Electrical Wholesaling.I've served on the following groups...1. I sold advertising space over a twelve state Midwest territory for several association publications including the Healthcare Financial Management Association's "Healthcare Financial Management", the International Reprographics Association's "Plan & Print", the American Burn Association's "Journal of Burn Care and Rehabilitation."
