Whilst initially starting at Ginx TV as a Junior editor I soon grew into my role and developed the skills necessary to take on a more senior position. Throughout this exciting tenure I was able to not only finesse my post production skills but learn more about lighting setups, camera operation and the importance of communication in a fast paced television environment.Growing into my role at Ginx TV allowed me to take on extra work and become responsible for delegating to junior editors. I found the challenges of management to be highly rewarding and as a team we took pride in the level of excellent content submitted to the channel. With Ginx TV being a fairly small organisation it meant taking on several jobs at once to maintain a constant flow of fresh content to the channel. Below are some of the shows I was responsible for delivering.• The First Hour - A 48 minute multicam edit that relied heavily on comedic timing.• Planet of the Apps - A 24 minute intensive edit that worked closely with third party assets and presenter led links.• The Essentials - A 24 minute presenter led links show that merged with other short form content that had been created for the channel (such as reviews, Top 10s etc).• Greatest Games - A 48 minute presenter led highlights show set on a green screen backdrop.With emphasis being on a speedy workflow it meant that whenever content needed audio or colour fixing there was more time to perfect these issues and work on extras, such as graphics, to give the finished video that added edge.Across its 4 seasons I was an assistant editor on Videogame Nation, a weekly show Ginx TV produced for Challenge TV. Working with some of the biggest names in the gaming industry (such as Charles Martinet - the voice of Mario) we were able to build a loyal fanbase and maintain consistently high viewing figures on a weekly basis.www.ginx.tv

Working closely with a self-shooting director we filmed interviews and exclusive performances from musicians performing within the city. I provided assistance as a second camera man and helped set up equipment. When not on shoots I would help with the edit.
