Vr/Development Team Leader
Skills2Learn was an entrepreneurial small business specialising in building e-learning and virtualreality simulations for training in a wide variety of industries from construction to nursing. It wasbought by Babcock International in late 2013 and subsequently renamed to Babcock LearningSolutions. We have been involved in projects for large organisations such as Network Rail andLondon Fire Brigade, as well as the Royal Navy and the Army. I have been involved in many aspectsof the company from providing technical support to the sales team in meetings with prospectiveclients, as well as presenting the finished products to senior management. I joined the team when itwas quite small and quickly began suggesting various improvements, such as the adoption of sourcecontrol (in the form on SVN). As the team grew in size, I took on more responsibilities, ultimatelybecoming a team leader. Recently, I have been the project lead on redeveloping our template (abare-bones Unity project with all the basic functionality required for our projects) from the groundup to be more modular and dynamic. For most of my time at Skills2Learn, I have been consideredthe “go-to guy” for any technical challenges faced by people in any part of the business.
