Providing engaging interactive teaching and learning resources to schools and colleges

As a member of the senior management team I play a key role in the strategic planning and decision making for Customer Research Technology Ltd.Development and launch of the CRT Academy – a distinct brand within Customer Research Technology delivering best-in-class training, workshop and consultation for over 200 clients in the UK including the NHS and local authorities.My responsibilities include the co-ordination, planning and delivery of all aspects of internal and external training and development; including stakeholder engagement, feedback methodologies, data analysis for service improvements and IT skills.I developed a comprehensive curriculum of training and development courses, suitable for all levels and abilities, and where necessary delivered with national organisations including the Patient Experience Network, Ipsos MORI and the NHS Institution for Innovation and Change. As part of this role, I have developed a suite of programmes including bespoke on-site training and online self-help materials.I organised of two successful national conferences on the effective use of service user feedback for the NHS in 2012 that were attended by over 200 NHS Managers and Lead Nurses and senior managers.I regularly have to coordinate activities and information between the development team, marketing, sales, customer support and the Board of Directors.

As a member of the Senior Management Team for a large secondary school, I had responsibility for the strategic management of ICT systems and infrastructure across the school along with joint responsibility for Professional Development.Specific projects completed include the management and implementation of a school-wide e-learning programme to support students, staff, parents and the local community.As a Specialist Maths and Computing School, I managed staff inset and development on all aspects of ICT, data management & analysis and content management systems including StudyWiz, Fronter, Kaleidos, SharePoint, Class Server, Moodle and Drupal.I had responsibility for negotiating with internal and external stakeholders on the development of IT systems and infrastructure to meet strategic priorities for the school and within financial and time constraints. Line management of department managers, setting robust and challenging targets, monitoring progress towards targets, holding department managers to account for their progress and reporting to the Senior Management Team on progress.Coaching of trainee teachers to ensure they meet the professional standards for Newly Qualified Teacher Status. This required a close working relationship with the Local Education Authority and Warwick University.

As a subject teacher, I taught a number of ICT courses to students of different abilities. After two years I was promoted to Head of ICT and improved the department’s performance from one of the worst in Leicestershire to the third best department in the county for results.Development and delivery of a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of all learner – including adult learners.My responsibilities included the management of a team of teachers, support staff and technical staff, target setting, monitoring and evaluation of progress towards meeting targets and the performance management of my team.I worked closely with the senior management teams of a number of schools to plan and implement an e-learning project for 15 schools across the county, including securing £250,000 of funding from the Department of Education for the project.
