Mr Stephen Levette, aged 61, has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle-upon-Tyne University in the United Kingdom. His working life spans over 40 years of worldwide experience in the oil and gas industry. Stephen runs the independent UK-based consultancy Yorkshire Engineering Solutions Limited. He is a well-known and highly regarded figure in the oil patch and was profiled by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for their series ‘Chemical Engineering Around The World’ in the magazine ‘Chemical Engineering Progress’. No stranger to hostile working environments, Stephen has worked in some of the coldest places on earth, for example at Tengiz on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan, and also in one of the hottest, the Berkine Basin in the Sahara Desert. In the past he has been involved in many ground-breaking projects including the hook-up and commissioning of one of the world’s first FPSOs for Amoco Philippines Cadlao oilfield. His enthusiasm is undiminished as witnessed by his current assignment to coordinate the roll-out of the Flawless Project Delivery program for Shell in Norway.He is a Registered Professional Engineer with accreditations from French, British, and European authorities and served as the European Representative to the American Petroleum Institute (API) 1997 – 1998. Stephen is a born communicator, articulate and quick-thinking.
