I am an experienced and dedicated scientist with over 40 years of experience in industry, academia and as an owner of an independent laboratory. I am passionate about my desire to continue to use and apply the knowledge and experience I have gained wherever it may be helpful.I have a PhD in Chemistry from the U. of Southern California. After completing postdoctoral programs at UCLA and USC, I worked at the Dupont Experimental Station in Wilmington, De for 13 years. During this time I worked on a variety of Dupont products, received 4 patents and was the Biomaterials Program Manager.I left Dupont to be a scientist and clinical bioengineer at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY. During my 10 years in that position I had over 100 (combined) papers, presentations at scientific meetings and book chapters.I have been a consultant to most of the major orthopaedic companies. I was the inventor on 3 patents during this time. As a consultant and active research director, I was an invited speaker to well over 100 meetings all over the world including England, Spain, Germany, China, Mexico and Canada.I have served, to date, on 18 FDA Device Advisory Panels covering a wide variety of products, including orthopedics, general and plastic surgery devices, dental products, general hospital use devices and anesthesiology and respiratory devices.I have been an expert witness for both plaintiff and defendants in product liability and intellectual property cases.I have been a journal reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. In the past few years, I have a been a 'top reviewer' for CORR.
