Stephen is the one of the inaugural global Design Directors at Aurecon, since 1 July 2016, one of eight such roles in our organisation of 5,500 peopleDesign Directors ensure that we bring our best possible design solutions to our clients on their most demanding projects. The role also includes mentoring and developing our leading designers so that they can reach their full potential. He is consulted on our most challenging design and construction problems around the group..Until June 30 2016 Stephen led the Built Environment team in WA and continues to have a leadership role with that team. This team delivers structural, building services and specialist building sciences for the building construction industry. He has also managed teams in London and MelbourneHe has had a number of group wide technical and client management roles, including group Building Sciences Leader, encompassing sustainability, facades, fire safety, acoustics, building simulation. He was Aviation Portfolio Leader (Terminals) for 4 years from 2012. Stephen has experience in major project design, including sports stadiums, airport terminal buildings, casinos, large commercial office developments, hotels and resorts. and hospitalsHighlight projects include Wembley National Stadium UK, Manchester Civil Justice Centre UK, Etihad Stadium Melbourne, Perth Airport, BHP Headquarters, Perth. Recently he has been the Design Director for the Tower at Dubai Creek, which when completed will be the tallest structure in the world.
