I am responsible for the efficient management of over a hundred supervisory engineering and production personnel. A part of my role is to actively ensure that positive variances for labour efficiencies and production overheads are maintainedMy achievements within this role include;Increasing the night and the day shift output levels by 20% with efficient use of personnel and machines, resulting in an overall site increase of 9%.Planning and implementing the efficient use of labour, production machinery, and material to meet required changes in production plansPlanning and implementing six new production lines.Achieving a national manufacturing training award for the shift.Through a positive approach to training I helped and coached a member of the supervisory staff to a national training award.I successfully implemented new Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring that these were constantly applied at all times.

Within this role I was responsible for the effective management of a team of fifty employees in a highly competitive food distribution centre. Part of my role included managing change in order to reduce waste, and encourage a greater Health and Safety culture; so creating a more efficient and motivated work force. Within this period of change I maintained a successful working relationship with the trade unions.My achievements within this role include;Implementing two new warehouse systems.Chairing the site Health and Safety committee.Achieving a positive variance on the labour rate, and improving customer service.

My responsibilities included managing a team of ninety employees within a sports retail distribution centre. I also implemented risk assessments and ensured safe working procedures were adhered to.My achievements within this role include;Organising and implementing a new multi-purpose pick pack and dispatch system.Creating a team ‘brief shift' start up system.

I was an integral part of a new management team at Wickes appointed to help turn around a £10 million pound deficit into a profit within 2 years. I was also responsible for the ordering and budgeting of the stock.My achievements within this role include;Playing an active role and participating in all aspects of Human Resource management, ensuring that high standards of customer service were adhered to at all times.Managing sales, stock, and maintaining a very high degree of effective customer relations.
